AfHUK is a registered charity, no. 1115668.
The charity is ran by a core group of Trustees forming the co-ordinating committee who are supported by members of the Working Group – individuals who take the lead in particular interest areas to the furtherance of the charities aims and objectives. Both members of the co-ordinating committee and the working group, all volunteers themselves, organise teams of volunteers to carry out projects. We welcome applications to join and get involved in the exciting projects and opportunities that involvement in the managerial structure of the charity offers. We operate a rotational policy so that as a Trustee steps down to join either the Advisory Panel or the Working Group, members of the Working Group can be elected as Trustees – ensuring continuous reinvigoration of the charity and fresh thinking going forward, whilst pooling the experience of previous Trustees.

This trustee committee currently comprises:
Jennifer Cirne BArch (jennifer.cirne@afhuk.org)
Anthony Cole (anthony.cole@afhuk.org)
Anthony is a mature architect with a long career behind him who is still not prepared to go gently. They say that architects take a long time to reach their peak and Anthony is a good example of that. He is still interested in contributing to non-commercial projects anywhere in the world on a telecommuting/distance working basis. Particularly to projects with a social dimension where his broad experience of the design of public facilities, construction technology and the construction process is called for. The size of the project is unimportant, the quality of intention is.

She has worked with various NGO’s throughout the region and collaborated/volunteered on projects with Mojmirovce Childrens Home, Habitat for Humanity, Soros Foundation and other academic institutions. In early 2005 she worked on a post tsunami cleanup project in Sri Lanka, where it was evident sustainable post disaster development would be important.
