Engineers without Borders has invited AfH UK to show work and projects as part of their exhibition “Making the Difference”.  It will be held at the office of Buro Happold, located at 17 Newman Street, London, W1, from Tuesday 9th March for 3 weeks.

There is a private viewing on Tuesday 9th March, 6:30pm – and to reserve please see the link, below.

In addition to the formal responsibilities, our Trustees often take a hands-on role with the running of the charity: ensuring the quality of projects delivered and working closely with volunteers.

AfH is coordinating a response to help with the rebuilding efforts, and will be partnering with two local NGOs.  The San Juan Chapter (Puerto Rico) will be the base for this work in the coming months.

Cameron will be speaking at the RSA on Monday 9th November 2009: “Sustainability As A Matter of Survival: 10 Years of Architecture for Humanity”, from 6:00pm until 7:15pm.

The Bicentenary Medal was created in 1954 to commemorate the founding of the Society. It was originally awarded to a person who, while not an industrial designer, had exerted an exceptional influence in promoting art and design in British industry. The medal is still awarded annually to a non-designer who has had a strong influence in their field on the way design is used and appreciated, and who does, or is likely to, contribute to a major part of  the RSA’s work.
