In the aftermath of the earthquakes which devastated Nepal in April and May this year, small remote villages are still struggling to clear up rubble and rebuild. We are working with a group of architects, engineers and mountian climbers on a project to create a rubric for safe and sustainable construction. A research trip to the rural village of Chaturale this summer was an important first step. The team carried out a photographic survey and consulted with local residents. Barbara Paagman is leading the project for AfH. Please contact her for more information.
