AFH UK was approached by AHEAD at the beginning of 2007 to produce an outline masterplan that could be used to secure the land for a community college in the town of Shakiso.
The college will offer cources in IT, agriculture, nutrition and ecconomics amongst other subjects, and the outline design provided classrooms for the teaching as well as social spaces, and adminstration facilities in a phased masterplan.

The attached pdf illustrates the project work that was carried out by AfH with the help of Ethiopian architects based in London. The land is now secure, and AHEAD is fundraising for the first phase of the project.
